Spring Luncheon and AGM

Again this year the District 34 Spring Luncheon and Annual General Meeting promises to be fun, informative and delicious. As promised, we are using this event as our “test case” for those members who prefer to submit their payment electronically but the usual Canada Post method of paying will be maintained as well.

The event will be held at the beautiful Meadowbrook Golf Club in Gormley on Thursday, May 23rd and is open to all District 34 members plus one guest. In adddition, everyone will have a choice between two entrees. Space is limited so get your reservation in early.


Fresh baked rolls and butter

Roasted peach salad, baby arugula,
grape tomatoes, goat cheese, champagne

Grilled 6 oz. striploin steak cooked medium rare, served with mashed potatoes, vegetable medley, onion straws and bordelaise sauce  
Grilled Atlantic salmon finished with a maple glaze, served with rice pilaf and seasonal vegetables;

Double chocolate mousse dome with strawberry sauce and fresh fruit garnish;

1.Complete the Event Registration Form, remembering to include your choice of entree and any dietary needs you have; send it, along with your cheque made out to RTO District 34 to:

2. E-mail the Event Registration Form found on pages XX and XYof this booklet to remembering to state your choice of entree and any dietary needs you have.  Do not pay yet. You will receive a reply e-mail stating that your registration has been received. At that time you will make your payment by Interac Transfer to   On the transfer state the name of the event and the event organizer. Payment must include the full payment for all names on the registration form. (only one payment for each registration form ).

Note: All mail in registrations must be paid by cheque. All electronic registrations must be paid Interac E Transfer.

For either method, registration will be confirmed by e-mail or phone once your cheque is received or your e-mail payment has been confirmed.

This seems to work only on Windows systems.

The form found by following the link below can be used in one of two ways. It can be downloaded, completed and mailed along with your cheque or it can be sent electronically. Whichever way you use it, be sure to follow the instructions that are delineated above.

Some of the screen transitions may take a couple of minutes.

  1. Open the pdf form and save it to your desk top. CTRL+S works for Windows 10.
  2. Complete all of the required parts of the form.
  3. Print a copy by using the print button at the bottom of the form. This can be mailed with your cheque or kept for your records.
  4. If using electronic registration, use the submit button at the bottom of the form. A window should open up on your screen asking you which mail function you want to use. It should have the 'default' mail server checked. Do not change the settings! Use the button in this window to move on. An email will open with the registration embedded. Press the ‘Send’ command.
  5. You can use the ‘Clear’ button at the bottom of the form to take the information out, if you so desire.
  6. Wait for instructions from our treasurer, George McKelvey, to send your fee electronically.
  7. After you have paid, you will be contacted with confirmation of your registration.
